Baenziger Coles were engaged to assist the City of Boroondara with the development of the new Tennis Club Facilities at Sefton Place in Camberwell, VIC. The project involved the replacement of the existing one room pavilion with a larger building containing social spaces, kitchen and other amenities as well as a generous outdoor observation deck overlooking the courts. Title constraints required extensive reconfiguration of the courts and the new building required the upgrade to all site services at a sensitive residential and public park interface. The provision of DDA car parking also formed part of quite challenging accessibility and Heritage Overlay requirements associated with the site. Baenziger Coles conducted a number of user and community consultation sessions as part of this very public project in the residential heart of Camberwell.
